Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother Shylysh and his struggle with addiction to pornography. Lord, we acknowledge that You are a God of mercy and grace, and we believe that nothing is impossible for You.
Father, we ask for Your forgiveness for Shylysh's actions and thoughts that have led him into this addiction. We pray that You would cleanse him from all unrighteousness and wash away the guilt and shame he carries. Your Word reminds us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Lord, we pray for Shylysh's deliverance from this addiction. We know that he has tried to break free on his own, but we understand that true freedom comes from You alone. We ask that You would break the chains that bind him and set him free from the grip of this addiction. Your Word assures us in John 8:36 that if the Son sets us free, we will be free indeed.
Father, we also pray for protection over Shylysh's marriage. We ask that You would shield his wife from any pain or hurt that may arise from this situation. Give Shylysh the strength and wisdom to seek help and support, whether it be through counseling, accountability partners, or support groups. Surround him with godly influences that will encourage and uplift him in his journey towards healing and restoration.
Lord, we pray for Shylysh's mind and heart. Renew his thoughts and desires, replacing any impure thoughts with thoughts that are pleasing to You. Help him to find satisfaction and fulfillment in You alone. Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:8 to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.
Finally, Lord, we pray for perseverance and strength for Shylysh. We know that the road to recovery may be challenging, but we trust in Your faithfulness to walk alongside him every step of the way. Help him to lean on You and to rely on Your power to overcome this addiction. Your Word assures us in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
May God's grace and healing be upon you, Shylysh. Remember that you are not alone in this battle, and there are people who can support you. Seek help and trust in God's power to bring you through.
