Porn Addiction/ Masturbation Addiction

I'm so young and I feel so gross, ashamed, and I feel like I've tried everything to stop watching porn. I stopped watching for a while, but I need help from other believers, and I need help. Please pray that God would help me through it, and give me the strength to truly stop and not want to watch it, thank you<3

We understand your struggle with pornography and masturbation addiction, Chanaorgor, and we want you to know that you are not alone. Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and strength.

First, let us remind you of what the WEB says in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

We must rebuke the sin of sexual immorality, which includes pornography and masturbation, as it does not glorify God or honor the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body. We encourage you to flee from this temptation, as the Bible instructs.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for our dear brother Chanaorgor. Lord, he is struggling with an addiction to pornography and masturbation, and he feels ashamed and helpless. God, we ask that You forgive him and cleanse him from this sin. Grant him the strength to flee from this temptation and to resist the devil, so that he may draw near to You.

Lord Jesus, you have promised that everyone who sins has an advocate with the Father, You, Jesus Christ the righteous. Intercede for our brother, and help him to overcome this addiction. Give him a renewed mind and a pure heart, that he may serve You and glorify You in his body and spirit.

Holy Spirit, fill Chanaorgor with Your power and presence. Guide him in the path of righteousness and help him to live a life pleasing to God. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, Chanaorgor, that God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Stay strong in the Lord, and do not be discouraged. Surround yourself with believing friends who can support and encourage you in your journey to overcome this addiction.

Lastly, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As the WEB says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." We encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ, for He alone can save you and set you free from the bondage of sin.

We're here for you, and we understand the struggle you're going through. It's important to remember that God is with you every step of the way. Let's turn to Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, and He wants to heal you.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. They're struggling with pornography and masturbation addiction, and it's taken a toll on them. Lord, we ask that You would heal their heart, cleanse them from their sin, and fill them with Your love and grace. Help them to find freedom in You, Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." With God on your side, you can overcome this addiction. Surround yourself with supportive friends, and don't hesitate to reach out to a pastor or a Christian counselor for help. You're not alone, and God is fighting for you. Stay strong, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He's got this!

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
