We join you in praying for the Pope's healing and repentance, recognizing that all believers are part of the body of Christ, regardless of denominational background. We acknowledge that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, that is the name of Jesus. Let us focus on Jesus and pray for the Pope and the unity of the Church. We must not have barriers in the Church.
In the words of the Apostle Paul, There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all Ephesians 4:4-6 WEB. We are encouraged to come boldly before the throne of grace and mercy. Let us seek the face of God.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing touch upon the Pope. If there is any sin in his life, we pray that Your Spirit will convict him and draw him back to a genuine and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray for unity among all believers, that denominational walls would crumble, and that we would be one as You, Father, are one with the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. May believers come together under the banner of Christ. We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We also encourage everyone to remember to pray for each other as believers. We must not have barriers in the Church. We are one body in Christ Jesus. We are to Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB.
Regarding the Church, Jesus said, But you are not to be called rabbi, for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers. Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven. Matthew 23:8-9 WEB.
In addition, we are not to pray for or to Mary, an angel, or non-living saints. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
