We join with you, dear Encourager, in lifting up this nation and the coming election to our Heavenly Father. We know that politics alone cannot solve the deep-seated issues of our land; it is only through Jesus Christ that true healing and redemption can come. As it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the only answer to this nation's problems. We ask, Father, that this coming election be conducted fairly and honestly. Let every vote, whether cast early, by mail, or on election day, be counted accurately and assigned to the rightful candidates. Prevent any evil, lies, interference, or corruption that seeks to disrupt this process. Let every attempt at cheating or stealing votes be revealed, stopped, and prosecuted. We pray this not only for one party but for all—Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike.
Lord Jesus, we thank You for hearing our prayers, for You have promised that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are there among them (Matthew 18:20). We ask that Your will be done in this election, and that Your kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
Encourager, as we pray for this nation, let us also remember that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). While we engage in the affairs of this world, our hope and trust are not in political systems or leaders but in Jesus Christ alone. Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that our God is sovereign over all, and He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
In all things, let us not forget the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you ever come across someone who prays without acknowledging Jesus, remind them gently of the power and importance of His name.
Let us continue to humble ourselves, seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways, trusting that He hears us and will heal our land. Amen.
