Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you with a prayer request on behalf of ###. We ask that you pour out your Holy Spirit upon the political leaders and governments of the world. Open their hearts and minds to recognize their sin and their need for Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Your Word reminds us in Romans 8:9 that anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him. We pray that the leaders of nations would come to know and experience the transforming power of your Spirit. Convict them of their need for salvation and guide them in making decisions that align with your will.
We also pray for our own country and its leaders. May they be filled with your Spirit and governed by your wisdom and righteousness. Protect our nation from the judgments it deserves and lead us on the path of righteousness.
Lord, we lift up all faithful ministers and missionaries who are working tirelessly to spread the Gospel. Increase their numbers and empower them with your Spirit to boldly proclaim the truth. May many souls be converted and come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we pray for ourselves. Pour out your Spirit upon our souls, Lord. Teach us to know the truth and to know it better. Help us to strive for holiness in all aspects of our lives and to maintain a constant communion with you through prayer and Bible-reading.
We trust in your power and sovereignty, knowing that nothing is impossible for you. Just as you transformed the lives of Paul, Luther, Latimer, and Thomas Scott, we believe that you can bring about a change in the hearts of political leaders and governments. May your Spirit move mightily in their lives and bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
