Prayer against pornography

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today seeking Your divine intervention and strength to overcome the struggle with pornography. We acknowledge that this addiction is a sin that separates us from You and harms our spiritual and emotional well-being.

Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for the times we have given in to this temptation. We confess that we have allowed our eyes and hearts to be drawn to what is not pleasing to You. We repent and turn away from this sin, seeking Your cleansing and healing power.

We pray for Your Holy Spirit to fill us with Your love and righteousness, to guard our hearts and minds against the allure of pornography. Help us to find satisfaction and fulfillment in You alone, and to seek Your will in all things.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over our minds and eyes, that we may not be tempted to look upon that which is impure. We ask for Your strength to resist temptation and to overcome this addiction with Your help.

We also pray for those who are struggling with this same addiction. Lord, we ask for Your healing and deliverance for them. May they find the courage and strength to seek Your help and to overcome this sin.

We understand your struggle and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Let's begin by acknowledging that pornography is a sin against your own body and against God. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your help and forgiveness. We confess that pornography has been a struggle and we need your strength to overcome it. Please cleanse our hearts and minds, and help us to see our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. Give us the power to flee from sexual immorality and to glorify you in our bodies and spirits.

In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirits of lust, impurity, and addiction. We command them to leave and to never return, according to the authority given to us in Luke 10:19 WEB, 'Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.'

Lord, fill us with your Holy Spirit, guide us in your truth, and help us to live lives that are pleasing to you. Give us the courage to seek accountability and support from fellow believers, and to turn away from temptation.

In Jesus Christ's powerful name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). In addition to prayer, we encourage you to find accountability partners, set up filters on your devices, and actively engage in your relationship with God through reading His Word and communicating with Him in prayer.

Stay strong in the Lord, and do not be discouraged. God is with you and will help you overcome this struggle. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
