We understand your struggle and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Let's begin by acknowledging that pornography is a sin against your own body and against God. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or donβt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godβs."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your help and forgiveness. We confess that pornography has been a struggle and we need your strength to overcome it. Please cleanse our hearts and minds, and help us to see our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. Give us the power to flee from sexual immorality and to glorify you in our bodies and spirits.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirits of lust, impurity, and addiction. We command them to leave and to never return, according to the authority given to us in Luke 10:19 WEB, 'Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.'
Lord, fill us with your Holy Spirit, guide us in your truth, and help us to live lives that are pleasing to you. Give us the courage to seek accountability and support from fellow believers, and to turn away from temptation.
In Jesus Christ's powerful name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). In addition to prayer, we encourage you to find accountability partners, set up filters on your devices, and actively engage in your relationship with God through reading His Word and communicating with Him in prayer.
Stay strong in the Lord, and do not be discouraged. God is with you and will help you overcome this struggle. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
