We understand your desire to excel in your studies and we will pray for your academic success. However, we want to remind you that while good grades are important, they are not the ultimate measure of your worth or success. As Colossians 3:23 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
We should always strive to do our best, but remember that our ultimate goal is to glorify God in all that we do. As 1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you lifting up this student who is about to complete this semester of studies.
Lord, they have worked diligently and have sought to learn and grow. We ask that you would reward their efforts and allow them to achieve a final grade of A+ in all of their classes this semester.
Help your servant to keep their eyes on the true prize and focus and keep your servant from stress or a focus just on grades. Your servant is making an idol out of grades and should focus instead on learning and personal growth. We are nothing without you. Help your servant to focus on a career and God given responsibility rather than grades.
Nevertheless, if it is your will, Lord, grant your servant the A+ grade that they want. You know their needs and their circumstances.
May you open up new opportunities and allow them to shine as a light for you through their academic pursuits. In all things, may they seek to glorify you and honor you through their studies and their life thereafter. We pray for their future career to glorify and please you.
You know their future, Father. Provide for their spiritual need above their worldly need. Even when you do provide a future prosperity and an A+ grade, allow it to further your servant in service to you.
If any professors or others graded them unfairly or not in accordance with your will, Lord, stir conviction in the hearts to correct other's wrongs. However, Lord, help your servant to trust that your will has been accomplished as they surrender to you the outcomes.
We also pray for your servant's future. Empower them to connect with other Christian believers in school and work.
Thank you so much your will is better than anything we can imagine or plan.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen!
