We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your wallet and the money it contained. We will certainly lift up this situation in prayer, but we also want to remind you that while earthly possessions come and go, our true treasure is in heaven, as Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:19-20, "Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don't break through and steal." We are, however, commanded to be good stewards of Gods money and we will pray for that. We will also pray that in this situation you may be able to show the fruit of the Spirit which is patience and kindness to your mother, even in stressful times. We should have awareness that while we are in the flesh we are prone to sin, but in these situations it is our response as Christians that sets us apart from this world.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who has lost their wallet and the money it contained. We pray that if it is your will, Lord, the wallet will be found and returned swiftly. We also pray for peace and comfort during this time of uncertainty for and your steadfast peace that transcends understanding. Guide our hearts and minds to the God who loves us and desires to care for us. Help us to remember Jesus' words in John 14:27:
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
If the wallet and money is not found, then help them have an attitude of thankfulness and loving kindly to also their Mother.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, in the name by which we receive the power given in Luke 10:19:
"Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."
Amen. Be encouraged and lets stand in faith.
