Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of hope and faith, lifting up ### in prayer. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask for Your mighty hand to be upon ###, breaking the chains of addiction that bind him.
Father, Your Word tells us that "if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We claim this promise over ###'s life. May the power of Jesus Christ set him free from the grip of alcohol and gutka. Grant him the strength and courage to turn away from these substances and to seek refuge in You.
Lord, Your Word also says, "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). Fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, so that he may find satisfaction and fulfillment in You alone. Give him a new heart and a new spirit within him (Ezekiel 36:26), and lead him on the path of righteousness.
We pray for ### as well, that You would provide strength, patience, and unwavering faith. Surround this family with Your love and protection. May they find comfort in Your promises and be reminded that "the Lord is near to all who call on him" (Psalm 145:18).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
