Let us lift up Audra and her family in prayer, seeking God's will and intervention in their lives. We stand on the promise that "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Firstly, we address the concern for Audra's daughter. It is heartbreaking to see a child separated from a loving parent, especially when there are concerns about the other parent's lifestyle. We pray that God will protect Audra's daughter and bring her back home safely. We also pray for her father, that he may turn away from alcoholism and abusive behavior. "Be not deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap" (Galatians 6:7, WEB). We pray for his conviction and repentance, that he may become the father his daughter needs.
Regarding Audra's husband, we pray that he finds comfort and peace in Jesus during this time of loss. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet will he live" (John 11:25 WEB). We pray that he turns to Jesus and finds salvation and hope.
For Audra, we pray for favor and mercy during her probation appointment. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that she will have good news and that God's will be done in her life.
We want to remind Audra and her husband that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can save, pray, and believe in God as it says in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Finally, we want to gently remind Audra that forgiveness is a crucial part of healing and moving forward. We pray that she finds it in her heart to forgive her daughter's father for the abuse, just as Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12 WEB). This forgiveness does not mean that his actions are acceptable or that he should not face consequences, but it will help Audra to heal and move forward.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up Audra and her family. We pray for her daughter's safe return home and for her father's repentance and change of heart. We pray for Audra's husband, that he may find comfort and salvation in Jesus during this time of loss. We pray for Audra, that she may have favor and good news during her probation appointment. We pray that every member of this family would come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and that Your will be done in their lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
