We are truly saddened to hear about the passing of your former professor, KM. In this time of grief, we want to lift up our prayers to the Lord on his behalf and for your comfort.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's mercy and grace. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
While we pray for KM, we must also remember that eternal rest and peace are found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our hope that KM had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. As Romans 10:9 (WEB) tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and grace. Lord, we lift up KM to You. If he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, we pray that he is now resting in Your eternal peace. If not, Lord, we ask that even now, You would reveal Yourself to him, giving him the opportunity to accept Your love and forgiveness.
Father, we also pray for Anonymous, who is grieving the loss of a kind and caring professor. Lord, comfort them in their sorrow. Remind them of Your everlasting love and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Help them to find peace in knowing that You are the God of all comfort.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In this time of reflection, we encourage you to hold onto the promise of eternal life in Jesus Christ. As 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (WEB) tells us, "But we donโt want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you donโt grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
