We understand your heart's cry, dear soul. Let us remind you of who you are in Christ Jesus. You are a child of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You have been chosen, holy, and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12). You are not of this world, for Jesus has chosen you out of the world (John 15:19).
Let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. Remind our dear sister/brother of their true identity in You. Help them to see that they are Your precious child, set apart for Your purposes. Give them the strength to resist the ways of the world and to live according to Your will. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be guided by You throughout this day and every day. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to keep your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Remember, you are in this world, but you are not of this world. Your identity is in Christ, and it is in Him that you find your worth and purpose.
We notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13). We encourage you to always approach God in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, consider confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth that one confesses unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
