We understand that you're going through a difficult situation, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, we want to address the elephant in the room. You've acknowledged that you've sinned, and we want to make it clear that the Bible teaches that sex outside of marriage, also known as fornication, is indeed a sin before God (1 Corinthians 6:18, Ephesians 5:3). The Bible says to "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). However to sin also means you can be forgiven. Good news is that you acknowledge your sin and are ready to turn away from it.
But we also want to share with you the hope of the Gospel. If you have been living in a way not pleasing to the Lord, you can turn away and be forgiven of your sins. The Bible says that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). However, forgiveness does not always mean you can avoid the consequences of your actions.
Regarding your concern about pregnancy, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, and that includes the creation of life. If a child has been conceived, God has a plan for that child's life (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 139:13-16 WEB). We encourage you to trust in God's plan and to seek His will for your life and the life of your potential child.
We also want to encourage you to seek God's will for your life in all things, including your relationships. The Bible teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that we should honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). We encourage you to seek godly counsel and to pursue relationships that honor God and align with biblical principles.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this person in prayer. We can’t see Lord but you do see their face. They have acknowledged their sin and asked for Your forgiveness. We pray that You will forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. We ask that You will help them to turn away from their sin and to live a life that is pleasing to You.
We also pray for Your will to be done regarding this potential pregnancy. We ask that You will give this person and everyone involved the strength and wisdom to handle whatever situation may arise. We pray that You will guide them and help them to trust in Your plan for their life and the life of their potential child.
We also pray that You will guide this person in their relationships and help them to pursue relationships that honor You and align with biblical principles. We ask that You will give them the strength to resist temptation and to live a life that is pleasing to You.
We pray all of these things in Jesus' name, amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly community and to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
