We are truly heartbroken to hear about the curse of rejection that has been spoken over your life and the pain that you have experienced as a result. First, we want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved by Acts 4. Because we have no power of our own to save ourselves or remove curses, it is only in the power and authority of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and break curses. Please remember that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Please remember this when making requests.
Let's address the issue of curses and the power of words, especially from a parent. The Bible tells us that the power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21 WEB). However, the power of the curse does not override the power of the blessing that is in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
First, let's break this curse of rejection in the name of Jesus. Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus,
We come before You today to break the curse of romantic rejection that has been spoken over this dear life. We renounce the words that were spoken, "You'll die alone and crazy," "You're unwanted," and, "You'll never have a boyfriend." We cancel these words and their effects in the name of Jesus. We speak blessing, acceptance, and love over this life. We declare that you are wanted, loved, and accepted in the Beloved, Christ Jesus. We speak life, hope, and a future into your love life. We declare that even though you have been traumatized due to your first date experience, that this date in no way is an indication of what God has for you in store. We ask that you be healed from this traumatic experience. Curses shall not be fulfilled when pronounced and shall be broken.
Now, let's address the expectations placed on you by your family. The Bible tells us that we should honor our parents and family, but it does not say that we should live our lives based on their expectations to our detriment. It is important to seek God's will for your life and follow His direction. It is not God's will for you to lead a loveless existence for their pleasure. The Bible tells us that He has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). God created us for love, to be in loving relationships, not to be alone. So we pray for God's will to be done in your life and that you would find a godly spouse in good health and have a blessed marriage that honors God, even with health issues.
In Galatians 3:13 WEB it says, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree." God took human form to be tortured and killed in an extremely painful way to save and redeem us. If he did this to save us and redeem us, do you really think that He would want you to be alone and loveless your whole life? God took human form and became a curse for us so that we would not be cursed. God is love. The answer is no, He would not want you to live a loveless existence. Therefore, we pray that God will show you your husband and that you will be fulfilled in love and happiness. God does not want you to be alone, and He does not want you to be unhappy. God did not put you on this earth to live a loveless existence.
When looking for a spouse, remember that it is not God's will for us to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). So, we pray that God will bring a godly husband into your life that is equally yoked with you. We pray that God will give you the desires of your heart, but that you will delight yourself in the Lord (Psalm 37:4 WEB).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to press into God and His Word. Seek His face, not just His hand. Allow Him to heal your past hurts and to guide your future. He is the lover of your soul and the One who can fill the void in your heart. He wants to give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3 WEB).
