We understand your concerns and are ready to join you in prayer for these situations.
Firstly, we lift up Michael to the Lord. We pray that he will take initiative and pick up his books and packets promptly. We ask God to provide him with a sense of responsibility and urgency, and that he would cultivate a love for learning and growth. We also pray that Michael will actively participate in small groups, that he may be drawn closer to God and build strong, godly friendships. Remember, as the Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:25 WEB, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
Concerning Lilley and her parents, we pray that their hearts will be turned towards respect and understanding. Racial discrimination is a sin and is not compatible with the heart of God, who has created all people in His image. We rebuke any spirit of prejudice and intolerance. We ask God to soften their hearts and help them see the value in every person, regardless of their race or background. As it is written in Galatians 3:28 WEB, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we pray that the parents who mispronounce or misspell your name will be more mindful and respectful. We ask God to give you patience and grace in dealing with these situations.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up these concerns to You. Lord, we ask that You would stir in Michael a desire to be responsible and proactive in his studies and in his spiritual growth. We pray for Lilley's parents, that You would change their hearts and help them to see others with eyes of love and respect. We rebuke any spirit of discrimination and intolerance in Jesus' name. We also pray for those who misspell or mispronounce our names, that they may be more mindful and respectful. Help us to extend grace and patience in these situations.
We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
We are glad that you included that this request was in Jesus Name. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14: 6 WEB "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
