We stand with you in prayer, dear soul, and we appreciate your heartfelt cry to God. We trust in the power of prayer and the promises of God, who tells us, "Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:19-20, WEB).
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear sister and her relationship. We pray that this separation is not an end, but a time of reflection, growth, and repentance for both parties. We ask that You soften hearts and open the lines of communication, so that they may gain a better understanding of each other and Your will for their union.
Lord, we know that Your desire is for marriages to be reconciled and for families to be united. As it is written, 'Let the husband render to the wife the affection owed to her, and likewise also the wife to the husband ... that you may not give any opportunity to the adversary' (1 Corinthians 7:3, 5, WEB). We pray that this time apart would be a time of strengthening their bond, rather than weakening it.
We also pray that You would reveal any areas of sin that need to be addresses in both of their lives. Help them to turn away from any ungodly behaviors and to forgive one another, as You have forgiven us. Remind them that 'love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous, it does not brag, it is not proud, does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails' (1 Corinthians 13:4-8, WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray that their love would not fail, but would grow stronger and more Christ-like. Amen."
We encourage you, dear sister, to continue to trust in the Lord and to wait patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7, WEB). Use this time to draw near to God and to seek His will for your life and your marriage. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8, WEB). He may have a different plan for your life than you expect, but His plan is always good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2, WEB).
