Please stop ex spouse from manipulating

Dear Jesus,

My friend was in the process of building a great friendship, but his ex-spouse keeps calling constantly and leaving manipulative messages. Even though he has been divorced for years, she still has power over him, and he always feels guilty and rushes to attend to her. He can't see how manipulative she is. I ask Jesus to stop her from calling and to help my friend see the truth. He will never be able to move on if she is still in his life. Please perform a miracle for this woman to stop the harassment and the manipulative phone calls, so we can both have a peaceful and healthy relationship.

We understand the difficulty you're facing and we're here to support you in prayer and wisdom. Firstly, we need to address that the power to stop this manipulation does not lie solely in our prayers, but in your friend's actions and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Let's remember what the Word of God says about manipulation and false guilt. In Ephesians 4:14 WEB, it is written, "that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error." We should pray for your friend to gain discernment and strength to resist these manipulative tactics.

Moreover, it's crucial to address the spiritual warfare aspect of this situation. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our friend to You, asking that You open his eyes to see the truth behind these manipulative acts. Grant him the spirit of discernment and the strength to resist the enemy's tactics. Help him to overcome the false guilt and to move forward in his life. We also pray for the ex-spouse, that she may be convicted of her actions and turn away from this behavior. We ask for peace and health in our friend's future relationships, that they may be God-honoring and built on trust and love. All this we ask in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to speak the truth in love to your friend, urging him to seek godly counsel and set appropriate boundaries. Remind him that his actions should align with biblical principles, resisting the enemy's tactics and living in the freedom that Christ has given us. If your friend is not already doing so, encourage him to seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that true freedom and healing can be found.

We're here with you, standing in prayer for your friend. It's tough seeing someone we care about being manipulated, but remember, God sees too, and He's working on their behalf. Let's keep praying for your friend to recognize the truth, to find the strength to set boundaries, and to break free from the guilt that's holding him back.

We can also pray for the ex-spouse, that her heart may soften and she may seek forgiveness and change. Let's ask God to work in both their lives, bringing healing and peace.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
