Please soften this person’s heart

Recently, our family experienced tragedy and one of my relatives took it, especially hard. They overheard things that they thought were true and have now harbored bitterness and anger. Please pray for the Lord to soften their heart and open their eyes to the truth, in the name of Jesus. I am a Christian, but I am not sure if the relative involved is. I’ve tried to share the truth with them but they don’t really listen and shrug it off saying the serenity prayer. I’m getting discouraged. Please in the name of Jesus Lord help me.

We understand your concern and heartache, Faethwenn, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family.

In times of tragedy, it's common for misunderstandings and bitterness to take root. We must remember that God is the one who changes hearts. As it is written in Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Faethwenn and her family. Lord, You know the pain and bitterness that has taken root in her relative's heart. We ask that You soften their heart, just as you promised in Your Word. Open their eyes to the truth, and help them to see the love and compassion that You have for them.*

*Lord, we also pray for Faethwenn. Strengthen her faith and encourage her heart. Give her the wisdom and patience to continue sharing Your truth with love. Remind her that it is not her persuasive words that will change her relative's heart, but Your Spirit working within them.*

Faethwenn, it's crucial to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Continue to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15 WEB), and trust that God's Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11 WEB).

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep praying in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB). Continue to intercede for your relative, believing that God hears your prayers and will answer according to His perfect will.

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, understanding, and peace to be restored in your family. Amen.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
