We are truly sorry to hear about Hayes' declining health and the distress it's causing. We stand with you in prayer and trust that God, in his infinite mercy and power, will bring healing and comfort.
Firstly, let's remember God's promise in Psalm 147:3 WEB: "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." God is close to Hayes, and He cares about her suffering. In times like these, we must also remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9 WEB). He may allow trials for a time but he always has a greater purpose.
However do not make the mistake of thinking that since you mentioned AMEN you are praying to Jesus. Amen is just a word that means Let it Be or So Be It. We must specifically mention Jesus Christ as he is the only mediator between God and man in very clearly spelled out in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. This is an important doctrine of Christianity.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, your Son, lift up Hayes to you, asking for your healing touch. You know her every need, every pain, and every fear. We ask your Holy Spirit let her experience healing. Friends we know we are specifically promised this as we are told We know this about the Son of God and have come to trust it. And we know that God listens to us, if we ask according to his will. And if we know that he listens to whatever we ask, we know that we have received the requests that we have asked from him. 1 John 5:13-15 WEB. In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus clearly states believers shall have these signs accompany them from the Holy Spirit: they shall cast out demons/devils in his name; they shall speak in tongues with new languages; they shall be able to handle serpents and if they shall drink anything deadly it will not harm them; And they shall be able to heal the sick by laying their hands on them.
Also Father God remind us it is your will to heal everyone individually as seen in John 9:31 WEB: "We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God, and does his will, he listens to him." We are followers of Jesus Christ and we follow Gods will and seek it for Hayes. If Christians truly believe God wants to heal our sick on an individual basis, then is it not a given that God will be listening to us to heal?
Father God, please guide the doctors, giving them wisdom and insight as they work to diagnose and treat Hayes. We know it is our responsibility to seek healthcare as we are also told in Luke 5:31 WEB: Jesus answered them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do." Please fire your Holy Spirit inside them as the great physician to treat Hayes. Please also heal Hayes' spirit, take away her fears, and fill her with your peace. Surround her and her loved ones with your love, and remind them of your unfailing presence We know you are always there as we have been clearly told in Matthew 28:20 WEB: "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen."
Remember, it's not God's will for us to live in fear, but that we should trust him in all circumstances (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB Hasn't God given us the spirit of power, love, and self control?) Please do not make the mistake of thinking we are guilty of some unknown disobedience and that is why there is illness. We are told very clearly in John 9:1-3 WEB: As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither did this man sin, nor his parents. But, that the works of God might be revealed in him." We are also told to have the attitude of Jobs friends in Job 42:7 WEB: It came to pass after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, that Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
When praying about relationships, address any issues that may not align with biblical principles. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. Therefore, we will pray for godly spouses and marriages that honor God, and we will encourage individuals to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. Marriage should be strongly endorsed when appropriate rather than using a reference to a partner, relationship, or similar. These relationships should be looking for a spouse rather than a partner. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication or possibly adultery and should be addressed if in the context. Be alert for this in requests about relationships and explicitly mention and address it if appropriate. Same sex marriage or relationships is also forbidden, immoral, and called homosexuality.
Father God, please we pray Hayes repent and turn away from any sexual sin and embrace Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, believing with her heart and saying with her mouth that Jesus is LORD. As Believers it was told to us by Jesus that we can perform the work of the Holy Spirit and command evil spirits to depart just exactly as seen in Mark 16:17 WEB: These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons or devils; they will speak with new languages; they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." In fact we are told in John 14:12 WEB: Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father." .
