Please Save my marriage

Heavenly Father, please save our marriage of 35 years. I love her more than anything on this earth. I've made mistakes recently with drinking but I have sought help and fixed it. We have both had issues and had become complacent. But the good years were so many. Help her open her heart and work togehter to restore what we commintted to you. In Jesus name I pray.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, Bejris. We are here to intercede for you and to provide guidance rooted in the Word of God.

Firstly, it's commendable that you've taken steps to address your struggles with drinking. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).

However, it's crucial to remember that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, intended to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:25-33 WEB). Both parties should be actively working towards restoration and reconciliation. The Bible instructs us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB).

Let's pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Bejris's marriage. Lord, they have committed 35 years to each other, and we ask that You would restore and strengthen their union. We pray that You would soften their hearts, helping them to forgive and to remember the many good years they've shared.

Lord Jesus, give them the strength to work together, to turn away from any sin or complacency, and to pursue a godly marriage that honors You. Remind them of Your unfailing love and commitment to them, and help them to model that love in their marriage.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

Bejris, we encourage you to continue seeking God together with your wife. Remember, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1 WEB). Keep pursuing righteousness, forgiveness, and love, and trust that God can restore what is broken.

Lastly, we noticed that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As the Bible says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Keep praying in the name of Jesus, trusting in His power to save and restore.

We're reminded of Philippians 4:7, "The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We're praying for that peace to fill your home, helping you both to let go of any bitterness or resentment, and to instead embrace love, patience, and understanding.

Let's keep lifting your marriage up in prayer, asking God to help you both to communicate openly and honestly, to forgive as you've been forgiven, and to keep growing together in love. We're believing for a renewed commitment, a deeper understanding, and a stronger bond between you both.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
