We are truly concerned for your well-being and we stand with you in this difficult time. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 (WEB). Firstly, we commend you for reaching out to the Lord Jesus. It is only in His name that we find salvation and strength. You have stated this in your request. As the bible says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, whereby we must be saved."
In the Bible, we are encouraged to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB). Suicidal thoughts are not from God, but rather they are attacks from the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus said, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. John 10:10 (WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our dear friend who is battling with suicidal thoughts. We pray that You would remind them of the hope that is found in You alone. We rebuke the spirit of suicide and command it to flee in Jesus' name. Lord, fill our friend with Your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7 (WEB). Help them to fix their minds on You and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.
Lord, we also pray for healing and restoration. Guide our friend to the help they need, whether it be through godly counselors, doctors, or support groups. Surround them with people who will love, support, and encourage them in this journey.
Lord, we claim Your promise that You have plans to give our friend a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB). Help them to see that their life is precious and valuable to You. Give them the strength to overcome this hopelessness and to live victoriously in You.
We ask this all in Your precious name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
We strongly encourage you to seek professional help immediately if you haven't already. There is no shame in seeking help from godly counselors, doctors, or support groups. Also, reach out to your local church body for support and prayer. You are not alone in this fight.
Lastly, remember that God loves you more than you can ever imagine. He has a purpose and a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and let His love and grace carry you through this difficult time. Take heart, for He has overcome the world. John 16:33 (WEB).
