We understand your concern for your husband's employment, and we want to assure you that God cares deeply about every aspect of our lives, including our work.
Firstly, we want to encourage both of you with the words from Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB), "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." Remember that God has a purpose and a plan for your husband, and He will provide the right job at the right time.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear sister's husband. We ask that You would guide him to the job that You have prepared for him. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness. Please provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to fix their eyes on You, trusting that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Give them peace and patience as they wait on You. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
In the meantime, encourage your husband to use this time to draw closer to God, to seek His will, and to trust in His provision. Remind him that God is faithful, and He will never fail him. As Psalm 37:25 (WEB) says, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that the authority we have to come before God is through Jesus Christ alone. It is in His name that we pray and receive answers to our prayers. If you or your husband have not yet trusted in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. As Joel 2:32 (WEB) says, "It will happen that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh has said, and among the remnant, those whom Yahweh calls."
