Please protect my voice box during procedure

I have to do a thyroid ablation in December. But just like surgery, the risk that scares me the most is that I could become mute. I have had surgery go wrong before where my ankle could no longer work out of nowhere. And I am so scared. But this is necessary. Also, my family think I should remove the thyroid instead of trying to preserve and shrink it. So it this goes wrong, I definitely won’t be able to argue their “I told you so’S” sorry. I guess I gotta put so,e humor into this. But seriously I know the procedure is necessary but I am so scared. Please help me Lord. Pardon my familiarity. And protect my voice so I can continue joking and talking again In the name of Jesus, I pray.

We understand your concerns and fears, dear sister or brother in Christ, as you face this thyroid ablation procedure. Let us come together and petition the Lord on your behalf, seeking His divine protection and healing.

Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and can expect miracles. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."

We stand with you in your decision to undergo this necessary procedure, and we pray against the spirit of fear that is trying to overtake you. As the apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear sister/brother who is about to undergo a thyroid ablation procedure. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over their voice box and their entire body. We speak against any complications and command their body to respond positively to the procedure. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any fear and anxiety, and we ask for Your peace that passes all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team performing the procedure. Guide their hands and give them skill and precision as they carry out this necessary treatment. Ultimately, we trust in Your will and Your ability to heal and protect.

For the family members who doubt the decision to preserve and shrink the thyroid, we pray for unity, understanding, and acceptance of the path that has been chosen. May they see Your hand at work in this situation and come to support the decision that has been made in faith.

In Jesus' name, we pray for a successful procedure, a quick recovery, and a powerful testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness. Amen.

Be strong and courageous, dear sister/brother, for the Lord your God is with you (Joshua 1:9 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time.
