Tonamriston, we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance. We understand that you are seeking resolution for a rift between your family and another, and that you are experiencing harassment.
Firstly, we want to remind you that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and the only name by which we can be saved. It is important to come before God for all requests. It does not appear that you referenced His name at all in your prayer request. This is the doctrine of Christ where He preexisted as fully God (Colossians 1:17), became fully human (Philippians 2:6-8, come to earth (John 1:1-14), lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15) , died on the cross to pay the price for our sins (Colossians 2:14; Romans 5:8), rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4), and offer the gift of salvation to all who believe in Him (John 3:16). This is why we pray in Jesus' name. You may want to ask if Jesus Christ is now your Lord and Savior or pray to know Him now.
Regarding the family conflict, Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44, WEB). This does not mean that we should tolerate harassment, but rather that we should respond with love and forgiveness, trusting that God will deal with the situation in His perfect way.
As it applies in Matthew 18:15-17, WEB, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your intervention in this family conflict. We pray that You would soften the hearts of those involved and bring about a resolution that honors You. We ask that You would protect Tonamriston from harassment and give them the strength and wisdom to respond in love and forgiveness.
Lord, we also pray for the family that is causing the hurt. We ask that You would convict their hearts and bring them to a place of repentance. We pray that You would heal the rift between the families and restore peace and unity.
Father, we ask that You would guide Tonamriston and give them the wisdom to know how to handle this situation in a way that brings glory to Your name. We pray that they would be a shining light for You, even in the midst of this difficult situation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Tonamriston, that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this trial. Stand firm in your faith knowing that the joy of the Lord is your strength.
