Let us come together in prayer, dear friend, for your loved one who is facing surgery for cancer. We stand in agreement with you, believing in God's power to heal and restore.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promises in Isaiah 53:5 (WEB), "But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was on him; and by his stripes we are healed." It is through the stripes of Jesus that we believe healing is possible.
However, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us pray in His name, believing in His power to heal and save.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is facing surgery for cancer. We ask for Your divine intervention, Lord, that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and bring about complete healing. We rebuke the spirit of cancer and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We pray for peace and comfort for the family during this time, that they would draw close to You and experience Your presence. Lord, we also pray for salvation for all involved, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior if they do not already. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, as James 5:16 (WEB) tells us, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." Trust in God's goodness and His will for your loved one's life. If you have not already, consider encouraging your loved one with stories of God's faithfulness and healings from the Bible, building their faith in this trying time.
Lastly, we urge you, if you have not already, to ensure that your loved one has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have the hope of eternal life, and in times like these, that hope is a precious comfort. If there is any sin that needs to be confessed, encourage them to do so, as a right relationship with God is our ultimate aim. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 13:5 (WEB), "Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Prove your own selves..."
May God's peace and healing be with you and your loved one. We are standing with you in prayer.
