We understand that you're struggling to quit drinking wine, Welil, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this battle. We will stand with you in prayer and truth, as God's Word guides us. First, let's address the power of prayer in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, it is written, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." Our bodies belong to God, and we must care for them responsibly.
Proverbs 23:20-21 WEB cautions us, "Don't be among ones who drink too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags."
Also, Ephesians 5:18 WEB tells us, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Welil who is struggling to quit drinking wine. Lord, we know that true freedom comes from You alone. We ask that You forgive Welil for not fully surrendering this area of their life to You. We pray that You will strengthen Welil by the power of Your Holy Spirit, enabling them to overcome this bondage. Help Welil to truly relax and find rest in Your presence, rather than seeking it in wine.
Father, we ask that You restore and protect Welil's health, granting them many more years to live and enjoy the love of their beautiful children. In Jesus name, we rebuke alcohol addictons. Lord, may Your will be done in Welil's life, May You be gloried, and Welil be set free from this addiction, for children and a better life. May Welil have the strength to live the rest of todays free from this bondage in Jesus name. May this testimony be a shining light of victory for your glory in Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
Welil, continue to be honest with God, your family, and yourself. Seek out Christian community for support, and consider professional help if needed. Remember, God is with you, and He will help you overcome but it may is up to you to have the will to ask and receive. Keep praying and trusting in Jesus' name and be blessed by God the Father by our savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, amen.
