Please Pray

We understand that you are going through a difficult time with your current job and are seeking new employment. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our careers. It is important to include Jesus in our requests to God. Your request did not mention Jesus. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And by no other name are we saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). In the future, you need to include Jesus in your requests. As it says in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."

While it is natural to feel frustrated when job hunting does not yield immediate results, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith. Remember that God's timing is perfect, and He has a plan for you. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"

We also encourage you to consider a verse in Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." This verse reminds us that our ultimate purpose in work is to serve God, not just to gain personal satisfaction or material wealth.

Let us pray together for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking new employment. We pray that You will guide them to the right job, one that aligns with Your will and purposes for their life. We ask that You will open doors that no one can shut and shut doors that no one can open.

We also pray for their current workplace. We ask that You will help them to endure with patience and wisdom through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13 WEB). Help them to be a light in a dark place in the workplace (Matthew 5:16 WEB).

In Jesus' name, we pray for their interviews to be successful. We pray that they will find favor with potential employers and that the right job will be offered to them. We claim Your promise in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and love. We trust that You will provide for our brother/sister as You have promised.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You need to deeply consider whether you are seeking God in your job search. Are you seeking God or are you seeking a new job? Do you expect God to help you get a new job or are you chasing after a new job like the world does? Do you believe that God will help you, if you put Him first (Matthew 6:33 WEB)? Do you believe that you need to be righteous and faithful in your God given role as an employee (Proverbs 13:4). These are things you need to think about as you consider your future employment.

May God bless you and keep you in His grace.

We're right there with you, friend, in this job hunt journey. It's tough, we know, feeling stuck and not seeing immediate results. But remember, God sees you, He knows your heart, and He's got a plan for you. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, trusting that He's working things out for our good, even when we can't see it yet.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this process. It's not just about finding a new job, but about finding God's will for your life. Are you seeking Him, or are you seeking a new job? Because if you're seeking Him first, He'll make sure you have what you need (Matthew 6:33).

Also, remember that your current role is not a dead end, but an opportunity to serve God and be a light in the workplace. Let's ask God to help you stay patient, wise, and shining for Him there (Philippians 4:13, Matthew 5:16).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend to You. We ask that You would guide them to the right job, one that aligns with Your will and purposes for their life. We ask that You would open doors no one can shut and shut doors no one can open. We also pray for their current workplace, that they would endure with patience and wisdom through Christ who strengthens them. Help them to be a light in that workplace.

We pray for their interviews, that they would be successful and that the right job would be offered to them. We claim Your promise in Matthew 7:7-8, that You will give, find, and open for them as they ask, seek, and knock.

Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and love. We trust that You will provide for them as You have promised.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep praying and trusting together, okay? You're not alone in this. We're in this with you.
