We are glad to pray with you regarding the dream you received, and we will seek God's will together. The Bible tells us that God can indeed speak through dreams, just as He did in the past with people like Joseph and Daniel. However, it is essential to approach this with discernment and align it with biblical principles. We can use a scripture about dreams, but remember that just because we have a dream it does not necessarily come from God.
Firstly, let's remember that the Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth. He will glorify Jesus and take what belongs to Him and declare it to us.
John 16:13-14 WEB "However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming. He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you."
However, Jesus warned us in Matthew 7:21-23 that just because you have done something in Jesus' name, you may not be doing God's will.
Jesus also warned us in Matthew 24:24 that it is possible to do miracles and have false prophets.
Now we can pray.
Almighty God, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth. Lord, we bring before You the dream that was received, and we ask that You reveal its source and Your will concerning this matter. If it is from You, Lord, please confirm it according to Your Word and give wisdom on how to proceed. If it is not from You, Lord, we ask that You guard our hearts and minds against any deceit or distraction that is from the devil. Help us to be discerning and to test the spirits, as You have instructed us in Your Word.
Lord, we desire to do Your will and to walk in Your ways. Help us to be obedient to Your leading and to glorify You in all that we do. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
So let's discuss the dream and what it means and does not mean together. We would need to know more about the dream to discern its meaning. We would need to know the dream to discuss this further. If you can share the dream then we can discuss how to test the dream.
If the dream is not from God then we would need to know the origin of the dream. The devil can also appear as an angel of light.
1 John 4:1-3 WEB: "Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit who doesn't confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God, and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already."
The Holy Spirit does not put confusion in our minds, but rather gives us a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
So, let's test this dream together.
