We are glad to join you in prayer, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. It's wonderful that you acknowledge the need to let go and trust Jesus, as this is a crucial part of our walk with Him. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your help. Please grant our friend the ability to release control to You, trusting in Your plan for their life. Help them to remember that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. Give them the faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them. Help them to believe that You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and in You alone is the only way to God. Forgive us when we try to take control and go in our own direction. Thank You for being a trustworthy God. Help them to believe that Jesus is the only way to be saved and sanctified. Help them to believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged by these words from Jesus in John 15:15-16, "No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you. You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you."
Remember, trusting Jesus doesn't mean that we become passive. Rather, it's an active decision to align our will with His, seeking His guidance, and obeying His commands. Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." As you learn to let go and trust Jesus, may you find His peace, which surpasses all understanding.
Lastly, remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
It is only in Jesus name that we can pray to God. So continue to trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation and sanctification.
