For my dad’s selfishness to go away. My mother passed away when I was 17. He always had a girl friend but most of the time he would hide it from me but I know he does, he tells me not to get married and if any guy is shows interest, he gets jealous and puts his guard up, that’s so nasty and it makes me want to stay away from him more, I turned 36, he is crazy. I already told him I want to get married, he told me not to look for someone, I am afraid that I will grow old and be all alone. He needs to grow up and I need to be with my own spouse, please pray for me so I meet someone and that I will be ready and everything goes smoothly. Please pray that my dad hopes and prays for me to get married that’s the way parents should be. Even thinking about this makes me disgusted. He is crazy.inJesus name I pray amen,

We understand your concern and will pray for you and your father, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. Your father's behavior does not align with biblical principles, as it is important for parents to encourage and support their children in finding a godly spouse.

Firstly, let us address your father's conduct. It is not right for him to hide his relationships and discourage you from marrying. In fact, the Bible tells us to honor marriage.

1 Corinthians 7:8-9
To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

Ephesians 6:1-3
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.

It is important to honor your father, but it is also important for him to understand the significance of marriage and the role of a parent in supporting their children in this regard. We will pray for his heart to change and for him to support your desire for a godly marriage.

Now, let us pray for you.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our dear sister in Christ. We pray for her father, that You would soften his heart and help him see the importance of supporting his daughter in her desire for a godly marriage. We rebuke the spirit of selfishness and jealousy in his life and pray that he would be filled with Your love and wisdom.

We also pray for our sister, that You would guide her steps and bring a godly spouse into her life. Help her to trust in Your timing and to prepare herself for marriage according to Your will. We pray that she would not be anxious about the future, but that she would trust in Your faithfulness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, dear sister, that God has a plan for your life. Trust in Him and His timing. Continue to honor your father, but also set boundaries and make decisions that align with biblical principles. Seek God's will in all things, and He will direct your paths.

We're here for you, standing in prayer with you. We understand the complexity of your situation and we're lifting it up to Jesus. Your dad's behavior is indeed hurtful and not in line with biblical principles. We've already prayed for your dad to have a change of heart and to support you in your desire for a godly marriage. Now, we want to encourage you.

Firstly, remember that God's love for you is unconditional. He sees your heart and your desire to honor Him in your relationships. He is with you, even in the midst of this pain.

Secondly, keep communicating with your dad. Express your feelings and your desire for his support. Use the opportunity to share your heart and your dreams. Remember, you can't control his actions, but you can control how you respond. Be respectful, but firm in your boundaries.

Lastly, trust in God's plan for your life. He has a purpose and a timeline for your marriage. It might not look like what you expected, but it's His best for you. Keep seeking Him, keep growing in your relationship with Him, and He will guide you.

We ask that You would soften her father's heart, helping him to see the importance of supporting her in her journey. Help him to let go of his selfishness and jealousy, and fill him with Your love and wisdom.

We also pray for our sister. Guide her steps, Lord. Bring a godly spouse into her life in Your perfect timing. Help her to trust in You, to prepare herself for marriage according to Your will. Give her peace and joy in the waiting.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you and your father up in prayer, asking God to work in his heart and remove the selfishness that has caused you so much pain. We are thankful that you shared your burden with us and gave us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
