We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation your daughter is in, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we thank God that she is a believer, and we trust that He will guide and protect her through this difficult time.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is hurting and in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the tears she cries and the pain she endures. We ask that You heal her eyes, mind, soul, and heart. Grant her clarity and a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit. Protect her each day and help her to find renewal and strength in You.
Lord, we also pray for her fiancé. We pray that You will convict his heart and bring him to true repentance. Change his heart, Lord, and help him to seek Your face and become the godly man You have called him to be.
Father, we know that it is not Your will for Your children to be in relationships that are harmful and abusive. We pray that You will give her the strength to remove herself from this situation and that You will provide a way for her to be free from the financial burden that keeps her tied to this relationship.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray these things. Amen.
Now, let's look at what the Bible says about relationships and how God wants us to live.
Firstly, it is important to understand that God does not want us to be in relationships that are harmful or abusive. In Ephesians 5:28-29 WEB, it says, "So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly." This is the standard God sets for marriages, and we should not accept anything less.
Secondly, we need to address the issue of drunkenness. In Ephesians 5:18 WEB, it says, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." Drunkenness is a sin, and it is often used as a tool to control and manipulate in abusive relationships. We pray that God will deliver your daughter from this and that she will be filled with the Holy Spirit instead.
Thirdly, we want to encourage your daughter to trust in God and know that He will provide for her. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus tells us not to worry about what we will eat or drink or wear, but to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. We pray that God will provide a way for your daughter to be free from the financial burden that keeps her tied to this relationship.
Lastly, we want to remind your daughter that God has a plan and a purpose for her life, and that He wants her to live in freedom and not in fear. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, it says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We pray that God will reveal His plan and purpose for your daughter's life and that she will find hope and a future in Him.
We will continue to pray for your daughter and trust that God will hear our prayers and act on her behalf. We encourage you both to stay strong in faith and to seek God's will in this situation. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
