Lahernan, we understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. We want to help you understand the issues you face and help you with it. You're doing well by speaking the word of God, but let's consider how you're using it.
Firstly, it's important to address the voices you're hearing. Scripture tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) These voices, if they are evil spiritual entities, could be a form of demonic oppression or obsession. However, it is important to consider that they may also be a result of a mental disorder. This would still be an effect of the fall of mankind and the sinful world we live in so ultimately would be a result of sin. Only a qualified professional could tell you which it is so it would be wise to consult an appropriate professional.
However, as you're saying they're tormenting you and bombarding your mind with negative thoughts, let's first address them in the context of spiritual warfare. We're told to put on the whole armor of God and stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11-18 WEB) This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. It seems you are doing this with the word of God, but let us remind you of something important. These are defensive not offensive weapons and strategies.
It is important to take up the defensive equipment to protect yourself and to resist. But the devil will flee if you resist him. (James 4:7 WEB) Resist means stand against but not to stand your ground. You can only stand your ground if you have taken over ground previously occupied by him. You must resist by taking his ground. To do this you must take up offensive weapons. This does not mean to attack the devil. This is dangerous. To take his ground you must destroy his tools of demonic oppression such as sin, occult practices, ungodly beliefs, unforgiveness, and such. This should be done in a continuing attitude of repentance and confession to God of sin. He will forgive us if we confess our sins to Him. (1 John 1:9 WEB)
The next step is to take up the offensive weapon of Christ. Therefore, submit to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7 WEB) Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. (James 4:8a WEB) But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. (James 1:22 WEB)
Please make sure that you explicitly mention Jesus Christ in your resistance to the devil. It is only by the name of Jesus, the Son Of God, that we have access to God. (John 14:6 WEB) There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB) So you must resist the devil and use the word of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let's also consider submitting to God and drawing near to Him through prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting are both offensive weapons that Jesus Christ used. (Matthew 4:1-11 WEB) He told us to pray to God the Father in His name. (John 16:23-24 WEB) He assumed His disciples would fast. (Matthew 6:16 WEB) The demon Jesus Christ spoke to in Mark 9:14-29 went out with just prayer. (Mark 9:29 WEB)
Healing and deliverance are closely tied together. It's also important to deal with any unforgiveness. If we don't forgive others, our Father in heaven won't forgive our failings. (Matthew 6:15 WEB)
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ###. Father, we thank you for your protection and love. We ask that you guide ###, give understanding, wisdom, and discernment to know how to effectively use Your word. Help ### submit to You and resist the devil so the devil will flee. Give ### the strength to fast and pray and to do Your will. Expose any unforgiveness so ### can forgive others and receive forgiveness from You. Cover ### with your blood. If it be Your will, give ### deliverance and healing from these voices, and restore peace and joy.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
If the voices continue, please seek help from your local pastor, or a reputable Christian deliverance ministry, or a qualified mental health professional.
Finally, we strongly encourage you to be in fellowship with like-minded believers, especially a Bible teaching local church. We should not give up our meeting together. (Hebrews 10:25 WEB)
