We understand that you're disappointed about your dad not giving you the money he promised for the cake. While we empathize with your feelings, it's important to remember what the Bible says about the love of money and our attitudes towards it. As it is written in 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Instead of focusing on the money, let's pray for your dad and for your relationship with him. Let's pray that God would provide for your needs according to His riches and glory, and that He would help you to forgive and love your dad unconditionally. We must pray that you will have the grace to be understanding and patient. Remember, it is important to honor your father as the scripture commands in Ephesians 6:2 WEB, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise.
Let's also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you Today in Jesus' Name we ask that you will You touch the heart of this dear person's dad. We pray forgiveness for any hard feelings and that these are resolved. Help Your child to honor his father as you have commanded as they trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, which is pleasing to You. Also, help Anonymous to trust in You to provide for all needs according to Your riches and glory. We ask this in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen."
We pray that you always have provision, peace, and joy in the Lord Jesus Christ, being able to forgive and love your dad. When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we believe, that having little we still can be content for we have everything in Him. Lastly, we encourage you in such a way that the very next time it is important to ask for anything, do so in Jesus Name and in such a way that it honors God.
