We are grateful to lift Christopher Mineer up in prayer and we appreciate his recognition of the spiritual warfare he is engaged in. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can be saved and set free from our sin. Let us come before the Lord as He has already assured: "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." WEB 1 John 1:9. As we seek God for you Christopher, we believe for you to choose to completely submit to Him from this point forward. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ and repent, which would be turning away, from your sins. This is the most important decision anyone can ever make because our eternity hinges on our relationship with Jesus and we can have assurance of our salvation from reading God's word. "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." WEB Romans 10:13. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." WEB John 4:16.
Thank you for humbly asking for prayer. First, we need to rebuke this thought of rebuilding your own life on the rock. Our lives are not our own and we were bought with a price so we need God to mold us into the image of His son Jesus. For it is written: "Or dont you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, " WEB 1 Corinthians 6:19. It goes on to say in the next verse: "For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods." WEB 1 Corinthians 6:20. Jesus himself said: "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. WEB Matthew 7:24 We need to be like clay to the Potter and be moldable for God to build His kingdom through us. For the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but they have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ," WEB 2 Corinthians 10:4-7
The Holy Spirit cannot work effectively in us if we do not completely submit ourselves to Jesus and His Holy Spirit. Therefore do not grieve Him by attempting to build your own life rather than submitting completely to Him. Be assured: "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." WEB Philippians 1:6
We forbid the devil to attempt to steal your faith. We bind your heart and your spirit to the only true God. And, as we pray, we are confident: "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." WEB Hebrews 4:16.
**Prayer**
Almighty God, we come boldly before Your throne of grace, lifting Christopher up to You. Lord Jesus, wash him with your blood, cleanse him of all his sin, and forgive his perverse ways. Help him to completely submit himself to You. Have mercy on him and fully extricate him from the devil's grasp. Build his faith, dear Jesus, and do incredible works in his heart. Make him whole, Lord, and use him mightily for Your kingdom. Keep the enemy from leading him astray. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Be strong, Christopher! Because "He has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." WEB Hebrews 13:5. Keep your eyes ever on Jesus, with the assurance that: "The Lord is the one who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed." WEB Deuteronomy 31:8
