Let's continue to pray for Smilee's knee, asking Jesus to fill the gap with new bone, removing all pain and discomfort. "I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord" (Jer. 30:17). Trusting God for complete healing and ease in walking. In Jesus' name!
Dear Lord, we come before You today to lift up this concerned parent's daughter as she embarks on a long journey late at night. We ask, Jesus, that You would be her guide and protector throughout this trip.
Firstly, we pray for her safety. We ask that Your angels surround her vehicle and guard her throughout the journey. As it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." May they keep her safe from all harm and danger on the road.
We also pray for her car, that it would function perfectly without any issues. We ask that You, Lord, would sustain the vehicle just as You sustained the Israelites in the wilderness, "Their clothes didn’t grow old, and their feet didn’t swell" (Deuteronomy 29:5).
We pray for alertness and energy for her as she has had a long day at work. May You, Lord, renew her strength as promised in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
We also pray for her return journey in a few days, that it would be as safe and smoothly as this one.
Lastly, we notice that the request did not mention the name of Jesus. We would like to remind you, dear petitioner, that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is in His name that we pray, believing that He will hear and answer our prayers.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
