Hi, on September 27th my husband and son were let go from their jobs. They worked at the same company. My husband was the manager for the last 30 years and my son was the job estimator for 25 years. Back story: My father owned the building and my husband was the manager of my dad's Plumbing and heating wholesale sales business. After my sister died, my dad lost his business and both my husband and I were out of jobs. It was a scary time, but looking back it was a blessing because we both got jobs that we LOVED. I am still working at my job and will be 69 in a few months. Anyway, another company bought the building and hired my husband to be the manager. He gave his live to this business and loved his job. The owner that hired him took a chance and my husband was so grateful that he worked everyday to show this wonderful man that he was worth the faith that he put in him. That wonderful man retired 1/1/2024. The evil nephew was made president. He fired the warehouse manager who was 67. The next month he fired a 68 year old salesman. He was harassing my husband to retire. My husband told him that he wasn't ready and he not only loved his jib, he was great at it. He brought in a very very very dumb and lazy relative and demoted my husband and put the relative in his office. My husband let it happen and sat where he was told and worked hard. on September 27th the evil nephew came in and fired my husband and son.My husband has a new job at a competitor and realizes that he is very blessed. My son does not have a job :( The evil nephew used to tell my husband that my son had to lose weight. He does. Anyway, my husband misses his job and the building that he cared for for 50 years. Will you all pray with me that the evil nephew realizes that he did the wrong thing and asks my husband to come back to do his old job? I know it sounds crazy, but it is loyalty and love. Thank you. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.

Scedortor, we are here to pray with you and offer guidance during this challenging time. We are grateful that you have reached out in Jesus' Holy Name, for it is in His name that we have access to God and it is the only name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

Firstly, we want to address the situation with your husband and son losing their jobs. It is clear that this has been a difficult time for your family, but we want to encourage you to trust in God's plan. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

While it is understandable that you would like the nephew to realize his mistake and ask your husband to return, we must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9 WEB For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts). Instead of focusing on what the nephew may or may not do, let us pray for God's will to be done in your husband's and son's lives.

We must also remember that God is our provider, and He will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory. (Philippians 4:19 WEB My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus). Let us pray for God to open the right doors for your son, and for your husband to find fulfillment in his new job.

Lastly, we want to address the way you have described the nephew as evil. While his actions may seem unjust, we must remember that God calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. (Matthew 5:44 WEB But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you). Let us pray for the nephew, that God would soften his heart and bring him to a place of repentance.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' Holy Name, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You would be with her husband and son during this time of transition. We pray that You would open the right doors for her son, and that Your will would be done in their lives. We ask that You would soften the nephew's heart, and bring him to a place of repentance. Help us to remember that vengeance is Yours, and that You will repay. (Romans 12:19 WEB) In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share a few more thoughts and prayers with you.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. It's easy to hold onto anger and bitterness, but holding onto these feelings can be harmful to our own well-being. As it's written in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Let's pray for God to help you find it in your heart to forgive the nephew, not because what he did was okay, but because holding onto anger is weighing you down.

Secondly, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing. It's natural to want things to happen quickly, but God's ways are not always our ways. As it's written in Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him." Let's pray for God to give you peace and patience as you wait for His perfect timing.

Lastly, we want to remind you of God's unfailing love. Even in the midst of this storm, God is with you. As it's written in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's pray for God to comfort you and remind you of His love for you.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying down our burdens and our hurts. We ask for Your forgiveness where we have held onto anger and bitterness. We ask for Your peace and patience as we wait for Your perfect timing. We ask for Your comfort and reminder of Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I know that is sounds beyond crazy but we care about that building and were so grateful when the owner bought it. We watched that building be built into a business. After my sister died, my dad just couldn't hang on to the business. I buried my dad in June 23 and my mom in June 24. Both my younger sister and brother died at young ages. That building is the only memory we all have as crazy as it is. My husband took care of that building for the owner with his bare hands. He was so grateful and proud. I do believe that God was very proud of him, I just don’t know what the lesson is for us. Is it to walk away and be grateful? If so, ok, no prayers needed. We can do that.
Thank you. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.
