Please pray with me for believers in Bangladesh who are experiencing great hardship at the hands of their persectors . Friends, as we recently shared, religious leaders from the capital city, Dhaka - along with local religious leaders in western Bangladesh - are going house to house, telling Christian converts to renounce their faith in Jesus and return to Islam. If they refuse, their homes are damaged, they loose their jobs, their livelihoods are compromised and their families are at risk. Despite the pressure and persecution, local partners have reported some Christian converts have remained bold and resilient, including a man we'll Pastor Kabi. Kabi Rezual Karim is a convert from Islam who faithfully serves Jesus as pastor, evangelist and adult literacy teacher' he shares the gospel with those around him. Because of his faith, he has been targeted by Islamic religious scholars and other local extremist Muslim leaders. When the extremists realized they could not stop Kabi from his ministry, they tried other methods. They boycotted his once-thriving business, destroyed his water well and crops, stole his goats and all his belongings of value, and trashed his home. And yet - "This is my home, and I feel disgusting to live here now," Kabi said, "but I will continue to stay and serve God, even though their is threat and fear." Please pray for the safety of Kabi and his family. Pray God will protect them. Pray the believers will find hope and comfort in the Lord and will remain faithful to Him. Pray God opens the hearts of the persecutors and they experience the love of Jesus through the Christian converts. Pray neighbouring believers extend assistance to the persecuted believers and become unified in this time of difficulty and hardship. Thank you so much for praying for our persecuted family like the HOLY BIBLE tells us to in Hebrews 13.3 and other verses. May Elohim reward you in this life and the life to come for your faithfulness. michelle. information from Open Doors USA a charity for persecuted Christians who you can receive text messages and emails of to tell us what persecuted Christians need praying for.
