We rejoice with you as you have returned to fellowship with God after being backslidden for more than 40 years. It is truly by the grace of God that you are alive today and living in an assisted living facility run by Born-Again Christians. We are encouraged by your testimony and praise God for the eternal life you have gained in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who has returned to fellowship with You. We thank You for Your grace and mercy that has sustained him and brought him back to You. We pray for his spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, cognitive, and financial health. Strengthen him in every aspect of his life, and help him to fix his eyes on You, especially when he thinks about the things he has lost. Remind him of the eternal inheritance he has in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also lift up all the people in his life, including family members, loved ones, friends, acquaintances, and even enemies. We pray that Your will be done in all of their lives. Draw them closer to You, and let Your light shine through our brother to reach them with the love of Christ.
Father, we also pray for the staff and residents of the assisted living facility. Use our brother mightily to share the good news of Jesus Christ and to be a blessing to all those around him. Let Your name be glorified in that place.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Paul in Philippians 3:13-14 WEB: "Brothers, I do not regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Remember that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. He can restore the years that the locusts have eaten Joel 2:25 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
Continue to praise God and declare His greatness. As Psalm 100:4-5 WEB says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, and bless His name. For Yahweh is good. His loving kindness endures forever, His faithfulness to all generations."
May God richly bless you and keep you in His care.
