"And the taskmasters of the people and their officers went out and spoke to the people, saying, “Thus says Pharaoh: ‘I will not give you straw. 11 Go, get yourselves straw where you can find it; yet none of your work will be reduced.’ ” 12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw. 13 And the taskmasters forced them to hurry, saying, “Fulfill your work, your daily quota, as when there was straw.” 14 Also the officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, “Why have you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and today, as before?”
Management is aware they are short staffed, schedule four bussers at the most for a 45 table restaurant and then people call out sick... So I am doing pretty two jobs at once here -- serving my station which is beverage and food oriented (explaining, ordering, timing and billing for apps, entrees, beverages, deserts and public relations), as well as BUSSING (water service, bread service, clearing plates, carrying plates to the kitchen, clearing between courses, resetting needed silverware, refilling water glasses, refilling bread, bussing empty glasses and the like, carrying them all to the kitchen and racking them in the appropriate bins). I ask for favor with the one gay manager who is most critical. Today he didn't listen to my legitimate challenges and just told me I need to go faster to keep my job, I guess I have to pray harder -- please join me as it seems I have to do two jobs, make more bricks and gather the straw to reach my quota. Please change something where we hire and staff more bussers or help me learn "The New Normal" of communism where I work more, do more jobs and duties and tip out the same and pay more taxes in the name of Jesus
