I am Lawrence 33 years old,from Tamilnadu India. I am facing a lot of problems from different sides. When I try to solve one two new ones arise. Everything is caused by my younger brother and the close neighbours. It all began when my brother wanted to begin a business. Of course we were in a joined poor family. My father was youngest in his family and not educated and less responsible rather he lived a harmless life. He was leading a simple life as he used to say if there is food we would eat if not no. but he was the man who lived loving everyone equally and he gave importance to relationship rather than analyzing the character of the other. So many manipulated him and they even removed the boundary stones and changed as they wanted. My mother had to fight back for redoing it. Because of these actions my mother did not like him and everytime he was blamed and had quarrel at home. My mother was married first to my father’s elder brother as he died in two years of marriage my mother went for second marriage. As her previous partner was so efficient, hard working and focused on raising the family my mother had to face totally a contradicting factor which she was not able to bear with. This must be the cause for her angry approach to my father. So I cannot blame neither of them. Well. All together we were born in a very poor family. I have two sisters and a brother. From the childhood my both the sisters had to work and they did not study. I am the only one had the opportunity for studies. My mother took a lot of initiatives for me to study raising hands to different people she made me to study my primary after that the parish priest helped me to study up to +2. My mother tried my younger brother also to send school but she could not due to low income. We used to take water to the convent, parish priest house, and for a few nighbours carrying water from long distance. Especially when it was dry we had to walk about a kilometer for water on our shoulders. We all my father, mother, sisters all used to fetch water from a well and carry on the shoulders. For that they give some 30 – 40 rupees per month that was the only income we had. With that we had to eat, take care of the health and take dress items. I still remember I was wearing the uniform white shirt which was given by the government for my first communion and all my dresses used to have number of patches. It is same with all to our family. The others in the joined family manipulated my parents as my father was saying yes to everything innocently. After when we all started working we could raise some money and bought a small piece of land in which we have constructed a house. After which my parents and brother took the responsibility to in the church like ringing the bell and playing songs and so on to increase income. And my brother wanted to begin a business there. So he started a decoration project for weddings and other functions borrowing some amount from his friends that was not successful because another man started a big project which dominated everything and so he had a big loss. So he started to distribute hosts and wine to the churches from an agent from Dindigul for that too he borrowed money that went on well but in two months time there was a big opposition from the Bishop’s house not to buy from him and to buy only that which was distributed by the diocese. Thus caused another great loss including wastage of hosts and had to pay back a huge amount. So he wanted to begin a new shop. Then he started a new book shop with fancy store, ice-cream parlour etc. taking a loan and borrowing money along with two other friends. It went on well but very often his friends took many things for their uses and never paid the amount and when he asked about it they were standing together and they were planning to beat him. But he was the one invested most of the amount including taking a loan of 3 lakh rupees. It caused him to leave everything and go away. Added to that the land problem came up when around 15 families living far behind our house who were walking next to our house on the way we used to go out for church and to the channel for bathing and taking water. Those people have robbed many things from our house, as my elderly father and mother were there alone at home. In their absence they used to carry everything from our house as our house did not have lock. So my mother wanted to make a fence. Those people did not allow and she had attempted over 7 times but every time they came together and demolish all that they had done during the day. So our compound was demolished over 7 times and started attacking my mother. They ran over cycle on my mother, beat her and when we went to the police they took no action. This became a big problem a house with number of loans and borrowed amount we were in great difficulty for the survival. They went to the extreme of chasing my mother way from the land as I was not here and my brother ran away from home due to burden of loan and borrowed money. Mean while my mother was admitted to the hospital for an extra growth in her stomach. It was in extreme difficult we need to face a treatment where she underwent a major operation in her stomach. Thank God she is better now still under medication. That too went over 75,000 rupees. In last February my father was detected with heart decease they found an extra growth in his heart. We had to go for an operation. First they said there should be an emergency operation but after that they said it can be controlled with medications but it because unsuccessful for two weeks. So we had to go for an operation which was expensive and the total bill came around 92,000 rupees and continued his treatment but he passed away on 23 of June. With all these problems the land issue remained a big head ach to us. They kept on troubling us like throwing stone in our house, throwing Human **** in our house and throwing it on our father’s body who was bedridden after the operation etc. Whenever we went to the police for support they gave deaf ear to us but when the other group went along with the parish priest they came immediately and filed complaints against us. So the parish priest was also stood by the wealthy group who want us to chase from there. So we went to the court. As they came to know about it they went to the local RSS group the youth state secretary of RSS is from a neighbouring place Thuklay. He is a lawyer too. He came and visited our land and filed a case against us as we are keeping a gang to beat them and the police came to our house at night and threatened us. And they filed a counter case against us and the RSS group under the state secretary Lawyer Siva kumar is the leading man with a group of lawyers stand against us and deal with the case. As they all know that we are suffering without money and so they are at the dominant hand. So now we have decided that if the case comes in favour of them we all the three must die because we own only that small piece of land including the broken house in which we live. We need to pay a lot to others and to pay two different loans and need to look after the health of my mother and food etc. we are in deep trouble. My mother has never lived with smile on her face from the very beginning of our life. I am trying to find a job. The place I worked under a drunkard manager who cheated me saying that he would pay today tomorrow and on the next day and asked to continue to work finally chased me along with another sir asking questions like Who are you? Who called you? Why have you come here? I will not pay anything to you. You were not working here and so on. He did not pay even a single rupee for me to come back. I had to borrow money to come back from Rajasthan to here. He also ran away leaving the school as he has to pay huge amount to different people and they all hunt for him. Now I am trying for another job. I am sure it will take minimum 10 years to pay all these amounts and start a new life. My mother is already elderly. I am already worried much about my mother who has hardly smiled in her life time. Every time worry and tears remain. Please pray for our family in a special way.
