We join you in praying for those who are sick in the hospital tonight. Let us seek together.
Let us remember the words of the Psalmist, For you are my rock and my fortress;
for your name’s sake you will lead me and guide me.
You will pull me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me,
for you are my stronghold.
Into your hand I commend my spirit.
You redeem me, Yahweh, God of truth. Psalms 31:3-5 WEB.
Let us pray, placing our faith in Jesus Christ.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who are sick and in the hospital tonight. We pray for your healing touch upon their lives, knowing that you are the Great Physician. We ask that you comfort them in their suffering and fill them with your peace that passes all understanding.
We pray for the doctors, nurses, and all medical staff, that you would guide their hands and give them wisdom in their decisions. We ask that you would use this time to draw those who are ill closer to you, that they may know your love and salvation through Jesus Christ.
We rebuke any sickness that is from the devil and remind him of what was spoken by Jesus Christ in the gospel of Matthew 8:16-17 WEB, When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.”
Father, we ask that you would strengthen the faith of those who are ill and remind them of your promise in Romans 10:13 WEB, For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” We pray that they would call upon your name and be saved, knowing that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to you.
We ask all these things in accordance with your will, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Let us encourage those who are sick to call upon the name of the Lord and seek his face, knowing that he is faithful to hear our prayers and answer according to his will. Let us remember the words of James 5:15 WEB, The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
