We understand that you're seeking prayer for those who are angry to find calm in God's presence. Firstly, we want you and anyone else reading this to understand that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. It is written in John 14:6 WEB:

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

So let us begin by praying in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up those who are bound by anger. We pray that they would experience the peace that passes all understanding, which only comes from you. We ask that your Holy Spirit would fill them and help calm their spirits. We pray that you would help any victims of their anger as well.

Father, we know that anger is a normal emotion but that we need to let it go. We pray for the forgiveness and healing of the person or situation that may have caused the anger.

Father, we pray that those bound by anger would be able to let it go no matter how justified they may feel. We pray that they would not let the sun go down on their anger and that they would not sin in their anger.

Ephesians 4:26 WEB:

Father, we pray that those bound by anger would be able to love and forgive as you have forgiven us.

We join you in lifting up those who are struggling with anger, dear friend. Let's approach our Heavenly Father together, asking Him to work in their hearts. We pray that God would send His comforting Holy Spirit to calm their spirits and bring peace. Let's ask God to help them understand that holding onto anger is like drinking poison, hoping the other person will die (as the saying goes). It's not worth the harm it causes to themselves and others. We also pray for those who may be affected by this anger, asking God to protect and heal them. In Jesus' name, we pray.
