We are lifting up the youth who are feeling lonely and isolated, and we are praying that God will bless them with many friends. Let God encourage and provide for them as He has promised in His Word.
First, let us address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. The prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We know from Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.” Therefore, we will be praying in the name of Jesus.
We know that God is a God of relationships and community. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We know that God does not want the youth to be lonely. In Psalm 68:6, God says, "God sets the lonely in families; he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land."
We know that God is a friend to the friendless. In Psalm 25:16, it says, "Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the youth who are feeling lonely and isolated. Lord, we know it is not your will for these individuals to be alone. We ask that You would bless them with many Godly friends. In Jeremiah 29:13-14, You said, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you," says Yahweh, "and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Yahweh. I will bring you again into the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive."
Lord, we pray that these youths will seek You with their whole hearts. We pray that You provide a community of believers to support and encourage them. We pray that You will give them hope and a future. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Young people, if you are reading this, we encourage you to seek God with your whole heart. Join a local church, get involved in youth groups, and serve the needy. As you draw close to God, He will draw close to you and bring friends into your life.
We also encourage youth to be a friend to the friendless. If you know someone who is lonely, reach out to them, befriend them, and invite them to join your community. Always remember what God said in Leviticus 19:18, "You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh."
