We understand that your heart is burdened with a desire for the wealthy to share their resources. We must first remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:24, "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God." This reminds us of the challenges that come with wealth, and the importance of using it responsibly.
We also find guidance in 1 Timothy 6:17-19, "Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, willing to share, knowing that in this way they are storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up those who have been blessed with wealth. We pray that they would not place their hope in their riches, but in You, the living God. We ask that You would stir their hearts to be generous and willing to share, using their resources to do good works and store up treasures in heaven.
Father, we also pray for those in need, that You would provide for them according to Your riches in glory. We ask that Your will be done in all things, and that You would use each of us to bring about Your purposes on earth. We always pray this in Jesus name and for His sake, Amen.
Let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." As we pray for the rich to share, let us also seek God's Kingdom first, trusting that He will provide for all our needs.
Lastly, we must remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God as Jesus said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So let us continue to pray always in His name.
