Please pray that ### will stop drinking and turn his life to God

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend ### and their heartfelt prayer request for ###. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in ###'s life and bring about a transformation by Your grace and power.

We pray, Lord, that You would touch ###'s heart and convict him of the destructive nature of his drinking habits. Help him to see the emptiness and bondage that alcohol brings, and open his eyes to the abundant life that can be found in You. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 20:1, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." We pray that ### would recognize the deception and turn away from it.

Lord, we know that You are able to save to the uttermost, and we believe that You can deliver ### from the grip of alcohol addiction. We ask that You would break the chains that bind him and set him free. Your Word assures us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We pray for ###'s brokenness and for Your saving power to be manifested in his life.

We also pray for ###, that You would strengthen and encourage them as they intercede for ###. Give them wisdom and discernment in how to support and guide ### towards You. Help them to be a source of love, grace, and truth in ###'s life.

Lord, we surrender this prayer request to You, knowing that You are the ultimate healer and redeemer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in ###'s life, and may he experience the transformative power of Your grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We will continue to pray alongside you for ###'s deliverance and for God's intervention in his life.

Proverbs 20:24. Man’s goings are of the Lord — All men’s purposes and actions are so entirely subject to the control of God’s overruling providence, and so liable to be frustrated or changed, as he shall see good, and to be directed to ends so far distant from those they thought of and intended, that it is impossible for any man to know what shall be the event of any of his undertakings. The intention of this proverb is, to show that the events of human life are neither ordered nor foreseen by man’s, but only by God’s providence; and therefore that men should only mind to do their duty, and then quietly depend upon God for a good issue to their endeavours.
