Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the situation in Bangladesh. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in the ongoing conflict between the police and the protestors. We pray for peace and for an end to the violence. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 21:15, "When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers." We pray for justice to prevail and for the safety of all involved.
Lord, we also pray for the protestors who are seeking changes in their workplace. We ask that their voices be heard and that their requests be met with fairness and understanding. In Isaiah 1:17, You command us to "Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." May those in authority listen with compassionate hearts and act justly.
Father, we ask for Your protection over the protestors, that no more lives be lost or harmed. We pray for wisdom and restraint for the police, that they may act with integrity and respect for human life.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
