We understand your concern, Mirom, and we appreciate your heart to help others while maintaining a peaceful life. It's commendable that you share the Gospel through your lifestyle and that you value integrity and the fear of the Lord. Let's bring your situation before God in prayer and seek His guidance from His Word.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our help comes from the Lord, as it says in Isaiah 41:10 WEB: Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
While it's noble to help the weak, we must ensure that we are not entangled in their sin or drawn into their disputes unless doing so would honor the Lord. If these confrontations or altercations put you in a harmful situation, or you have to compromise your beliefs because they may be involved in sinful aspects that conflict with Christian principles, you should have boundaries. Galatians 6:1 WEB says, Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted.
In regards to the strife that came suddenly, remember what Jesus said in John 16:33 WEB: I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. IJC, In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world. Although though problems may arise, know that the LORD causes all things to act together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. So, trust that God will work all things together for your good.
When you speak of buttering up and protecting your possessions, that reminds us of this phrase in Matthew 6;19-20WEB: Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and live thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don't break through and steal. For it is where your treasure is, there will be your heart also.
Remember Jesus Christ is our only advocate, and it is only by his name that God the Father can be approached. Keep this in mind as you share the Gospel. John 14:6 WEB says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We must believe in the name of Jesus Christ and also share that with others.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up Mirom. We thank You for their heart to help others and share the Gospel. We commit the situations they must deal with. Let their character continue to reflect You, Lord, and let Christ shine through their actions, decisions, and testimony. We ask that You give Mirom wisdom and discernment to know when and how to help others, and when not helping someone will reflect to others. We rebuke the enemy, who tries to bring chaos and strife as well as anyone else who may belong to him that is troubling this child of God. We pray You protect Mirom and their possessions, and that Your peace that the keeps their heart and mind comes upon them in the midst of strife. We declare that no weapon formed against Mirom will prosper, and that You, Lord, will fight for them as long as they are in Your might and will. Thank you for the introduction to Jesus Christ in this prayer and we may abide in Him.
We believe that as Mirom continues to walk in integrity and the fear of the Lord, You will honor and protect them. We cast all our anxieties on You, knowing that You care for us and Mirom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
