We understand your concern about your room being left unlocked and the desire for privacy and security. However this verse in teaches us, Do not lay up treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break in and steal Matthew 6:19.
While we will pray for your situation, we also want to remind you that our true treasure and security are found in Christ Jesus, not in our earthly possessions or personal space. Your room and belongings are important, but they are temporal, while your relationship with God is eternal.
Jesus also said: Your heart will be where your treasure is.
In saying this, we also remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that it is only by his name that we can be saved. Make sure that you believe in Jesus Christ. Then we can better understand what deliverance means. Then we can better understand what trusting God is. We can more easily fulfill the greatest commandment.
If you do not believe in Jesus, please contact a local pastor and have him explain what believing in Jesus Christ is.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this person who has requested prayer for their room which was left unlocked. We pray the room will be left undisturbed. We ask that You guide their heart to focus on the eternal treasures and security found in a relationship with You. Father, we pray in Jesus name that whoever walked by the room, will be blind to an unlocked door. The door will look locked and closed. In Jesus name we also ask that you convict this person for a better understanding of what trusting in you means. Holy Spirit, reveal to them the love of God and the salvation that is only found in Jesus Christ. Help them to understand believing in Jesus and to understand what the greatest commandment is.
We do not know why this person could not get back to unlock the door and to make sure nobody enters. But we do know that only by believing in Jesus and then repenting and obeying the greatest commandment that only then can we trust God and have access to God. Every other religion, god and belief is just plain false.
If they do not know that, then we also pray they will also come to understand and know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Father, convict me, that I might not think of Property, money or an unlocked door, but I might think of His Kingdom. His will being done and His coming return. Father, if anyone wanted to break in to test you, that they will be kept out by your will. In Jesus name we pray.
Be sure that whoever asked for this prayer that they really self-examine if they believe in Jesus. Reading Matthew Chapters 5 thru 9 will help a lot in understanding what believing in Jesus means. This will also explain the consequences of being Lukwarm. Trusting God is based on believing in Jesus and knowing the greatest commandment. Often we have forgotten what believing and the cross really means. It is not always just about me, my peace, and thinking of unlocked doors. At least it should not be. Our faith is frank, it is harsh. We do not sit around to save the body by the uncrucified flesh. We do more than sit on the beach, drive a car, or have air conditioned houses. We can't coast because someone else will come.
"Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12
Ask yourself why you are here. Is this really just about a door?
"But seek first Gods kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33
