We are truly sorry to hear about the distress you're experiencing due to your parents' arguing. We will stand with you in prayer and also provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly we are specifically praying for them to stop arguing.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved person and their family. Lord, You know the strain and sadness that constant arguing can bring into a home. We ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that You would intervene and bring peace between parents. Soften their hearts, Lord, and help them to communicate with love, respect, and understanding, as Ephesians 4:29 instructs: "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Father, we also pray for this person, that You would comfort their heart and fill them with Your joy which makes us strong. Strengthen them to face any difficulty, knowing that You are always with them. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Remember, the Bible tells us to honor our parents, and by doing so we are promised a long life, but that does not mean we should allow their arguing to greatly affect us. As their child, you can set an example of love and respect, in the hope that they may follow suit. Also, God instructs us not to let the sun go down while we are still angry, and that is what we pray, that they will not be angry. God uses this verse to teach us not to hold grudges or have righteous indignation in our hearts. It is the righteous anger that God has against sin that motivates Him in judgment. We must not have anger against others because of the sin in our own lives.
Ephesians 4:26-27 reminds us: "Be angry, and don't sin.' Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil."
Lastly, we encourage you to trust in God and lean on the promise of I John 5:14-15
"This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Keep praying and trusting in God, He hears you and will come to your aid.
