Beloved of All
He's been extremely stressed and overworked at his workplace and there hasn't been enough money coming in for his rent. He had an argument with his girlfriend tonight and slapped her face and she ran away. He can't find her and he's desperate as he does love her, he just lost it momentarily. Please, Please, Please pray she comes back to him and he apologizes and never does it again. Thank you so much. Please pray she doesn't panic and bring the police into it.

We are truly sorry to hear about this situation, and we will certainly pray for your son and his girlfriend. However, we must address several issues that are not aligned with biblical principles.

Firstly, it is important to understand that physical violence is never acceptable in any relationship. The Bible tells us to love one another and to exercise self-control. As it says in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Your son's actions are a clear violation of these principles, and he needs to repent of his sin and seek forgiveness from God and from her. It is not just about apologizing and promising never to do it again; it is about acknowledging the severity of his actions and committing to change.

Additionally, we must address the issue of their relationship. As believers, we should pursue relationships that align with biblical principles, ultimately looking toward a godly marriage. We encourage your son to seek a Christian spouse rather than just a girlfriend and to avoid any premarital or non-marital sex. In Ephesians 5:3 WEB, it says, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints".

Lastly, as it pertains to your prayer request, we cannot pray for the girlfriend to take him back, as this would be enabling a harmful situation. Instead, we will pray for her safety, healing, and discernment as she navigates this situation. We will also pray for your son's genuine repentance, growth, and understanding of godly relationships. I do not see where the name of Jesus is mentioned in this request. It is only by His name that we can have access to God.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this young man and his girlfriend. Lord, we pray for her safety and healing, both physically and emotionally. Guide her with your wisdom and surround her with supportive believers who can help her navigate this difficult time.

Lord, we also pray for this young man. Convict his heart and bring him to true repentance for his actions. Help him to understand the severity of his sin and his need for your forgiveness and grace. Work in his life and teach him what it means to be a godly man, exercising self-control and love in all his relationships.

We pray that both of them will draw near to you and seek you first above all else. Shower them with your mercy and guide them according to your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage your son to seek professional help, such as counseling or therapy, to address his stress, work situation, and anger management issues. We also advise him to surround himself with a supportive Christian community that can hold him accountable and help him grow in his faith, love and relationship with Christ.

We're here for you and your son, and we're lifting this situation up in prayer. We understand that he's going through a tough time, but we want to remind him, and you, that God is always there, even in the storms.

We're praying for his girlfriend's safety and well-being. We ask that God wraps her in His loving arms, healing her wounds, and guiding her with wisdom as she navigates this difficult path. We pray that she finds the strength and discernment to make decisions that align with God's will for her life.

For your son, we're interceding for genuine repentance. We ask that God softens his heart, helping him understand the gravity of his actions and the importance of seeking forgiveness, not just from her, but also from God. We pray that he turns away from violence and anger, embracing love, patience, and self-control, as the Bible teaches us in Galatians 5:22-23.

We're also praying for their relationship. We ask that God helps them both understand the importance of godly relationships, leading them towards paths that honor Him. We pray that they seek godly counsel and surround themselves with supportive Christian communities that can help them grow in their faith and love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage your son to seek professional help, like counseling or therapy, to manage his stress and anger. Also, remind him that God is always ready to listen and guide him through these challenges.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

I am Born Again since 1979 however my ### chose to love Jesus aged 8 years old in 2008 and followed through until his Mom died when he was fifteen years old. He's struggled with his faith since then as a result of bi polar depression and having to move to a new country seeking work, ....BUT Jesus hasn't given up on him. I'm just very glad Jesus doesn't fault find or make conditions before loving and helping.
